Let's Celebrate!

This week was my dad's birthday, and it is 4th of July (I am sure you could have guessed that by our outfits!) so we had a little party to celebrate. It was a lot of fun. Grandma and Grandpa Kirkbride, the Blank family, and the Fink family all came over to join the fun.

Of course my mom and Aunt Tara made us line up for the cousin photo shoot again. It is still just as tough to get everybody to look in the same direction and smile as it was at Easter time! I think we did pretty good though. Especially since Owen, Addy, and Landon spent the morning getting their pictures taken by the pros.

We played in the yard at home for a while and then ate dinner and birthday cake. Grandma even gave me a bite of cake. We don't have a picture of that because we had to be sneaky about it since we were breaking the rules!

Later we walked over to the park. At first we left the Dads in charge of everything, but you can see how that turned out!
Everybody seemed to have a great time playing on the slides and the swings. Here is Cooper and Owen swinging away.

And here is Addy with Josie. They were going at top speed, so the picture is a bit fuzzy!

Landon loves to swing as much as I do...

... but neither of us liked to have to share a swing! Another one of Mom's crazy ideas!

All of that playing is exhausting though, so we had to pack it in and take a power snooze!
But one nap wasn't enough. This is how I spent nearly the entire next day! This partying stuff is hard on a guy!
