After seeing how crowded it was (there were over 22,000 people registered for the race), our cheering section decided it would be too hard to find us at the end, and instead headed inside to eat breakfast and keep warm. This is what we found when we were done!
We didn't have much time to hang around after the race. We had to head right over to our seats for the America's Thanksgiving Day Parade! I was so excited. This is something that I have always wanted to do. (Please ignore Carter's grumpy face. He had a great time!)
We even got to sit in the "TV Zone", which means we were sitting across from Rhonda Walker. The rest of the family wasn't quite as impressed with this as I was! We did think that it was a little funny that the parade did have to pause for all of the commercials that would have been on TV. So don't worry, if you were watching from home, you didn't miss anything! Here are some of my favorite floats and balloons.
After the parade we headed over to Grandma and Grandpa Biskey's house to visit with them for Thanksgiving. Conner wore his turkey bib in hopes it would bring him turkey dinner (it worked!), and Carter worked on some art projects to give to Grandma Kirkbride.
Next up on the agenda was Grandma and Grandpa Kirkbride's house. We didn't get there until later in the day on Thanksgiving, but we were able to stay for both Thursday and Friday nights. The boys love playing with their cousins, so they were super excited about the extra night there.
