While Carter has been in different activities for a while now, this year we figured he would be ready for his first team sport. During the summer he was in a Tiny Tigers program through parks and recreation that was half soccer drills and half T-ball drills. Josh and I figured that we could see what seems to suit him best and that would be what we signed him up for in the fall.
Soccer won out and he joined the Orange Tigers team of the North Macomb Community Youth Soccer league. He was a little hesitant at first, but after the very first practice he was so excited that he couldn't wait for the games and practice each week. While he was never able to score a goal for his team, he seemed to find his calling about half way through the season as a goalie. Defense seems to be his specialty, and he only let a couple of goals score when it was his turn to defend the net.
Here are some pictures from his first game. Don't worry, after I got home from the game and was checking out these pictures I realized that the shin guards go UNDER the socks instead of over. He looked like a real pro after we figured that out!
