Carter wraps up Kindergarten

The end of the year was very busy for Carter and his kindergarten class.  There was a musical, field trip, field day, graduation, and a party!

The first event was the Kindergarten musical.  It was so cute to see all of the kids up there singing.  Although Carter was pretty silent until the last couple of songs.  (He is in the back in a red shirt.)

The kids separated into smaller groups to sing some of the songs.  Here is Carter and his group doing the chicken dance.

Next on the agenda was a field trip to Upland Hills Farms.  We all went on a hay ride, walked down storybook trail, watched a farm show, checked out the animals, and played at the playground.  It was a fun day, and we escaped right before it started pouring rain!

Two days later it was field day for Hamilton Parsons.  Conner and I went to help out during the morning when the Kindergarten, 1st grade, and 2nd grade were taking on all of the 22 activities.  We were helping at the jump rope station.

On Monday we went to Carter's Kindergarten graduation.  It was so cute.  The kids sang songs again (and Carter really sang this time around) and they got their diplomas.  They also played a little movie with pictures from the school year and kids stated what they wanted to be when they grew up.  Carter picked a football player just like last year!

Mrs. Wilkie and Carter even gave me a flower during the program to say thanks for being "the Wednesday Mom"!

It was a cute little program.  And after it was over we went back to his classroom for juice and cookies.

 Tuesday was the last day of school and they had a party to celebrate.  Conner and I were there to help again.  Conner really lucks out with all of the school parties he gets to attend!

 At the end of the party and the end of the day all of the kids stand in the hall and have a clap off for the 5th graders that are moving up to Middle School.  It was so cool to watch!

What a great year!  We are so proud of Carter!
