Summer Camping

We went camping a few times this summer.

We spent some time at the Forester State Park with Grandma and Grandpa Kirkbride.  The kids loved playing the water collecting rocks and trying to catch fish.  We were also able to play at the playground with a bunch of their cousins!

Please note the Blue Moon ice cream evidence!

We also went to the Lake Huron Campground with the Kirkbrides and Blanks for a weekend and stayed in the cabins along the lake.

Finally a bunch of friends rented cabins with us at the KOA in Muskegon for camping and a trip to Michigan's Adventure!  We had a great time hanging out by the campfire, which was necessary because it was pretty cold that weekend.  And then we spent Saturday at the park.  Josh and I were able to get Carter to go on the Corkscrew which was is first "big kid" rollercoaster.  He was very nervous at first (it took two tries to get him to actually get on the ride) but then he loved it and went 5 more times!

Conner was excited for the Frogger hopper....

... until it started to move!  Once was enough for him!
