No, no, no... I didn't run this crazy race. I am smarter than that! However, my Dad, Aunt Tara, Uncle Craig, Liz, and Corey are not. They signed themselves up for this mess! My mom was kind enough to skip this race so she could stay back and watch all of the kids. (Don't let her fool you, she brought help!)
First things first, let me show you all of the racers happy, excited, and clean in their pre-race picture.
After that we all walked down to the starting line to find a place to watch the race. Before we realized what was going on, the horn blew and it was time to go. Luckily Brady was there to hold Landon the whole time, and Grandma Biskey came with art & craft supplies so we could make posters for all the runners. Here are a couple shots of their cheering section.
And now for the race pictures! There were quite a few of the obstacles that you could see from near the finish line, so my mom was able to get pictures of them. Here are some of the fun pictures. And when I say fun, I mean fun for us to watch. I don't think that the racers would use the same words to describe them!
The first thing we could see was the muddy hill (that is a technical term!)
Next up was another muddy hill. But this time they had to climb up a rope on one side, jump over, and then slide down.
Following that, we watched them jump/walk/run through a bunch of tires.
Finally they had to army crawl in the mud under a cargo net. Here go Aunt Tara and Liz.
And FINALLY the finish line! Way to go everybody!
