Life's A Beach!

After our long day at SeaWorld, we decided we needed to spend a little time relaxing so we spent the second half of our vacation at Vero Beach.  We stayed at the Disney Beach resort, which was nice because they know how to take care of kids!

We walked in to the hotel with two kids that were tired and hungry after a long car ride.  Before we even found a table to sit at their restaurant, the waitress started making the boys plates full of whipped cream and fruit to tide them over!

After that Conner was able to calm down and get down to business with is coloring book!

After we ate we went for a walk on the beach.  It is hard to tell from the pictures, but the waves were crazier than I have ever seen.  It was too crazy for us to get very deep, but there were a ton of surfers out.

They had a very nice nature area across the street from the resort.  The kids loved going through the Peter Pan tunnel and walking around the lake as well as feeding the fish off of the dock.

While the nature park was fun, Carter would rate the Putt-Putt Golf as his favorite activity.  He would play the game as many times as we would let him!

The resort had a lot of children's activities going on all day long.  They were fun and we took the boys to a couple of the events to get a little break from the sun shine.

We couldn't stay at a beach resort without spending a day on the beach.  By the third day that we were there, the waves had calmed down enough for us to brave getting in the ocean.  Josh assumed all the waves scared the sharks away, so the boys were allowed to go up to their knees in the water!

I enjoyed the beach, but I am more of a pool kind of person so we spent a lot of time there as well.  Carter just loved the slide.  He must have gone down a hundred times while we were there.  Josh thought that Carter was okay to go down the slide himself, but I went with him anyway for the fun of it!  He was even able to say the magic words to open the slide for the day!

My very favorite part of our trip was when we got to attend the Goofy and Donald Pirate Dinner.  Carter loved it so much and was so excited to see the characters all around the restaurant.  Conner was excited to see them too, when they were all of the way across the room!
